Because of all of our members’ generosity over the years, we have started student scholarships of $500 for each recipient. In May 2025, EVC awarded the first two scholarships. For the 2026 academic year, 3 $500 scholarships will be awarded at each school. Here is some information about the goals of each 2025 recipient. Thank you to all who have paid their dues and/or supported our organization through the years.
My goal at EVC is to graduate in Fall 2026 with an AS-T degree in Computer Science while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I aim to develop strong technical skills and apply them to real-world problems, especially those affecting my community.
— Van Le, EVC AFT 6157R Scholarship Recipient
I envision myself working closely with the community to prevent diseases and closing health disparities through community outreach where I will spread accurate preventative education and encourage others to seek care. I hope to collaborate with local organizations to advocate for policies that work for them and not against them.
