Appeal for Assistance for Centennial Celebration of San Jose City College

Dear Fellow Retirees,

I have been contracted by San Jose City College to compile and coordinate information which will be used to develop a documented history of the college in preparation for their centennial celebration in 2021. This may take the form of a book or an electronic document, and it may also contain video clips involving both retired and current staff members and students. For the past few months I have been collecting photographs and information from documents both at SJCC and San Jose State, where the college was located from 1921 until 1953, as well as interviewing a number of retired staff members.

For the next step I would like to invite any retired faculty to submit to me any interesting memories, observations and information about outstanding students and teaching experiences which you would like to have considered for inclusion in this work. Along with that, of course, would be any photographs or other documentation which might be used to enhance your input.

I would really appreciate as much input as possible because we’d like to make the finished product something we can all be proud of.
